Project description

The USKOK Intelligence System (UIS) was developed for USKOK (The Office for the Suppression of Corruption and Organised Crime) to enable them to improve their analytical and investigative capabilities, making use of existing data and purchased analytical software.  This case management and entity management system enables the extraction and linking of data entities from documents and the preparation of the data in the format required by the analytiical software, thus enabling knowledge-based decision making.


Project activities

  • Analysis of existing business processes, systems, hardware and infrastructure
  • Business process reengineering and documentation using UML standards
  • Specfication of technical, functional and non-functional requirements for the proposed system
  • Design of 3 tier data model, user interface and other system components
  • Development of integrated case and entity management system, wtih document storage functionality and central database
  • Development of interfaces to link with external systems and standard off-the-shelf analytical software
  • Project management and reporting in accordance with EU requirements
