Project description

The overall objective of the project was to foster systemic development and modernisation of the vocational education and training (VET) system in Croatia with a view of ensuring its better adaptation to the needs of individuals/Croatian economy as well as the compliance with the EU acquis in relevant fields. The purpose of the project was to reinforce overall institutional and administrative capacity of the AVETAE to perform its core task as the focal point for all stakeholders in VET and as the main actor for the reform of VET in Croatia.
 
The overall objective of Teched's assignment was to conduct an assessment of the current website of the Agency and to prepare “business requirements” for the website for capacity building activities including HR management system and an e-learning platform.  Their tasks included:
  • Assessing the current website of the Agency and exploring the possibility to have an IT solution integrated within the current website   
  • Proposing a model for the capacity-building website   
  • Proposing a model for the HR management system (tailor-made or ready-to-use product)   
  • Proposing a model for the e-learning platform
  • Development of an IT solution, which included:
    • Analysis of the Agency's functional, non-functional and technical requirements to produce the design of the IT web solution       
    • Define the standard business processes and technical architecture required for the new IT web solution
    • Design the IT web solution that will support the Agency’s Human Resources, e-Learning and Collaboration Management requirements
  • Defining the connectivity interfaces between the new IT web solution and the existing Agency systems        
  • Building the IT web solution, integrating the software hardware and network components
  • Developing the connectivity interfaces between the new IT web solution and the existing Agency systems
  • Testing the solution extensively
  • The preparation and delivery of the training courses on usage and administration of the established applications, as well as the production of user friendly guidelines and user manuals, in Croatian, for both end users and system administrators.

Project activities
